Who you'll be working with

I'm Josh Grancell. I live in Hopewell Township with my family, and I run Grancell & Co. from a workshop on our property.

By day I'm a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at a large game company, where I keep production systems online for millions of players. Grancell & Co. is the work I do alongside that — building websites and managing the hosting and email that small businesses depend on. It started because I kept watching friends and local businesses pay too much for sites that ran on platforms they didn't control and couldn't fix. I wanted to offer something different: well-built, hand-coded, and actually maintained by someone who picks up the phone.

I take on a small number of clients at a time. Every site I build is custom-coded — no page builders, no themes, no platform lock-in. If you ever want to leave, you take your site with you. That's the whole point.

How I work

N° 01

Small numbers, done well.

I take on a few clients at a time, not dozens. Every site gets real attention, the same way a small dental practice or family restaurant treats their regulars.

N° 02

You own everything.

Your code, your domain, your content, your email accounts — all in your name, all portable. If we ever part ways, you take the whole thing with you.

N° 03

I answer.

No ticket queues, no offshore support, no chatbot. When your site has a problem or you need a change, you message me directly and I write back. Usually within hours.

N° 04

No platform lock-in.

No WordPress plugin economy, no Squarespace subscription trap, no proprietary builder you can't run yourself. Plain code on infrastructure that's portable to anyone competent.

Send a message. I'll text or email you back, whichever you prefer. No high-pressure calls — just a conversation at your pace.
