Common questions

What's a typical timeline?

Imprint sites usually take three to four weeks from signed proposal to launch. Edition runs four to six. Press depends entirely on the custom work, but six to twelve weeks is normal. The bottleneck is almost always content from you, not work from me.

Do I actually own my site?

Yes, completely. The code, the content, the domain, the assets — all yours from day one. If you ever want to leave, you take everything with you and I'll help with the handoff. No platform lock-in, no proprietary CMS you can't run elsewhere.

Why no WordPress?

WordPress is the right tool for some jobs. It's not the right tool for a small business that wants a fast, secure, low-maintenance site. Hand-coded HTML loads faster, ranks better, doesn't need monthly plugin updates, and never gets hacked because there's nothing to hack.

What's your Continuity Plan?

A fair question for any solo provider. Every site I build ships with full source code escrow, complete deployment documentation, and a written handoff protocol your next developer can follow. If something happens to me, my family has instructions and contacts to keep your site running. You're never stranded.

Can you handle our email too?

Yes — Edition and Press both include managed business email. Standard option is Microsoft 365 (familiar Outlook experience, calendar, Teams). Proton is available if privacy matters more than integration. Either way, you get real mailboxes, not forwarding tricks, with proper SPF/DKIM/DMARC set up correctly.

What if I need changes after launch?

Edition includes two hours of updates each month. Press includes five. Beyond that, it's $95 an hour and I bill in fifteen-minute increments. Most small changes (new staff bio, updated hours, swapped photo) take under an hour.

Do you work with people outside Central New Jersey?

Yes, but most of my clients are within an hour of Hopewell. Being local matters more than people expect — I can meet in person, photograph your storefront, sit through a planning conversation at your kitchen table. For clients further out, video calls work fine.

Why should I hire you over an agency?

If you need a marketing team, a six-figure budget, and a project manager, hire an agency. If you need a small site built well by one person who answers when you write and knows your business by name, that's what I do. Different tools for different jobs.

Ready when you are.

Send a message. I'll text or email you back, whichever you prefer. No high-pressure calls — just a conversation at your pace.
